Pregnant women at "Asinesi” in the eastern region are being carried on bamboo to the hospital due to lack of transportation.
According to Starr FM, the village with a population of 1000 has its only means of transportation being motor bikes popularly known as "okada"
The residents complained that it takes a long time to get these pregnant women to the hospital and also the journey is less comfortable for the women.
The village has bad roads, no electricity and no hospitals. This situation has caused many deaths in the village because most sick people do not get access to health care as quickly as needed.
The residents of the village are pleading to the government to come to their aid and supply them with their necessary needs especially health care to help reduce the number of deaths that they are currently recording.
