Not only women deserve a Valentine’s Day gift. Valentine’s Day was not in any way made for women to receive and the men to give. Why can’t the women give instead? Guys also do deserve a Valentine’s Day gift too. Are you asking me why?

THEY ALWAYS SPEND THEIR MONEY ON WOMEN
Throughout the relationship, the guy is mostly spending his money. When you guys go for lunch dates, Buy petrol, Buy food, etc. the man is mostly found to be the one spending.  Why can’t the woman give the gift for a change on such a special day and decide to not take anything in return?

THEY SACRIFICE THEIR OWN DREAMS JUST TO SEE THEIR PARENTS HAPPY
They go to the extent of forgetting about their dreams just to see a smile on their parents face.

OTHER PEOPLES HAPPINESS ARE THEIR PRIORITY THROUGHOUT THEIR LIFE
When they are young, they please their parent. When they grow up, they take care of their sisters. When they start dating they have to make their girlfriends happy. When they get married, they look after their wives. When they have children they look after the wife and the kids. When they grow old, they have to chase wealth and a better life for their family. And when they about to die, everyone is looking forward to their will.

THEY BUY YOU AN IPHONE WHEN THEY DON’T USE ONE
Lmao Yes, I said it.

THEY HARDLY GET GIFTS AND SUPRISES FROM PEOPLE
Everyone is focused on receiving from them. Just imagine the pressure they go through when it is almost their woman’s birthday, parent’s birthday, or even their sister’s birthday. But when it gets to their turn, the excuses begin "I didn’t know what you would like" or we forget about them.

THEY ARE HUMAN AND ALSO LIKE NICE THINGS
Yup! They are human and would also love nice things in a while.

Why don’t women forget about themselves for once and get the men something this year for valentines? Get your boyfriends something nice. Let the men feel wanted, loved and appreciated. Show them that you appreciate all the food, clothes, jewelry, iPhone and money he gives you.

They deserve a Valentine’s Day gift too.

A Kenyan couple has made the news after spending N500 which is equivalent to a dollar on their wedding ceremony.

Wilson 27, and Ann 24, had dated for 3 years and were finally ready to get married but after various attempts to raise money including asking their friends, they were not able to get the needed amount.

According to BBC, Wilson and Ann had already postponed their wedding their wedding twice in 2016 because they couldn’t raise the money needed which was $300.

Ann, a fruit seller said they still went on with the wedding because "as a couple, we wanted to marry and live with dignity in order to avoid other temptations"

Their wedding ceremony had no cake, decorations or a wedding gown. They were dressed simply in jeans and t-shirt what we normally call "house clothes". The N500 they spent was on their wedding rings which were shiny steel circles.

Their story has touched the hearts of many and has led them to receive various gifts and even a five-day honeymoon break from a reputable travel agency.

We wish them well in their marriage

Betrayal according to Wikipedia is the "breaking or violation of a presumptive contact, trust or confidence that produces moral and psychological conflict within a relationship amongst individuals, between organizations or between individuals and organizations."

As humans when we are betrayed by that one person that we trusted, loved, cared for and kept close to our hearts, it causes a kind of pain that is not easily healed.

We tend to feel useless for allowing that person get that close. It brings down our self-esteem and we wonder how we could not read the signs or know the person was capable of such an act.

There are particular ways to handle such betrayal if we intend to recover from it.

GET AWAY FROM THE PERSON
The first step is distance. You need to distance yourself from the person that has caused you the pain. Constantly seeing and talking to the person would only remind you of the betrayal and would not heal you.

UNDERSTAND IT TAKES TIME TO HEAL
I would not come here and tell you that you would get over the hurt quickly or in a few days because that won’t happen trust me. It would take time. Sometimes months and during that time, oh, it would hurt so badly. But this is where you need to understand that it is going to take time.

EXPRESS YOUR EMOTIONS AND FEELINGS
Keeping how you feel inside would not help anything. You would need to express your feelings. If you need to cry out your emotions do it. Write down your feelings if you have to.

TALK TO SOMEONE YOU TRUST
Go ahead and talk to someone you trust. Talk to someone that would certainly listen to you.

GET A LIFE
Yes, I said it! Get a life. Sitting around doing nothing and just thinking about what you are going through would not help in anyway. All it would do is cause you to grief more. Go out with friends, focus on your job or get a new hobby. These things would keep you busy and leave you with little time to think about the pain.

TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF
Understand that you matter the most. So make sure you take care of yourself.
